1922 – A year marked by upheaval, displacement, and historic events. For the Kourounlian family, it was also the beginning of a journey that would shape generations to come—a journey built on passion, craftsmanship, and unwavering dedication to quality.

It all started with Miran Kourounlian, the visionary founder of our business. A true artisan, he carried with him the secrets of pastourma and soujouk -making, a craft perfected over time and passed down through generations.

Hailing from Caesarea in Cappadocia, his life was marked by movement and resilience. From  Chios, Piraeus, and Old Kokkinia, where he ultimately laid the foundation for what would become a culinary legacy.

With unmatched skill and dedication, grandfather Miran turned his expertise into an art, creating pastourma and soujouk that people not only loved but sought after—flavors that became an inseparable part of Greek culinary tradition.

A century later, the legacy lives on. Today, Miran remains a symbol of authentic taste, heritage, and excellence, continuing to craft the products that generations have cherished.

For over a century, Miran has been crafting traditional  soujouk staying true to the authentic recipes and techniques passed down through generations.

Our signature soujouk is a delicately air-cured product with a soft texture, made from premium-quality beef. It has a moderate spiciness and can be enjoyed raw or cooked. A staple in Middle Eastern and Greek cuisine, it pairs perfectly with eggs and melting Greek cheeses like kaseri, creating a rich and flavorful saganaki with an unmistakable oriental character. For those who love bold flavors, we offer our traditional hot soujouk—an air-cured delicacy made from the finest beef and intensely spiced with salt, fiery red pepper, cumin, and an exclusive blend of spices. This variety is known for its spicy kick, bringing depth and heat to every dish. Whichever you choose, Miran soujouk embodies the art of charcuterie, combining tradition with excellence in every bite.

Crafted from premium-quality beef, these sausages are seasoned with a carefully selected blend of herbs and spices and undergo a natural maturation process, ensuring their rich aroma and deep flavor. You can enjoy them in three distinct flavors, each highlighting the artistry and expertise that define Miran:

  • Oregano Sausage – Infused with wild oregano from Agrafa Mountain, bringing a fragrant and earthy Mediterranean touch.

  • Spicy Sausage – Enhanced with fine red pepper for a bold, flavorful kick, complemented by the purest natural salt from Mesologi.  

  • San Michalis Cheese Sausage – A unique gourmet creation, carefully stuffed with the renowned "San Michalis" cheese from Syros, offering a perfect balance of rich umami and aged complexity.
